I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
